Born Ernest Nyama in Limpopo, South Africa, Ernesto Blaque is a Johannesburg-based DJ, producer, and music entrepreneur specializing in deep, soulful, and hypnotic house music. He has spent over a decade crafting emotionally resonant productions with textured synths and groovy basslines that move both hearts and dancefloors.
Drawing inspiration from Black Coffee, Dennis Ferrer, Ralph Gum, and Jero Nougues, Ernesto has developed a signature sound that blends deep house foundations with soulful, hypnotic elements.
From 2018 to 2022, Ernesto hosted the "Blaque House Show RS" on DeepinRadio, one of the world's leading deep house stations. He currently holds DJ slots on Umphakathi and DJsLine.com, continuing to share his curated selections with global audiences.
Ernesto made his debut in 2011 with the single "Destiny", released via Afrodesiamp3.com. This marked the beginning of a journey that would see his music reach international platforms.
Since his debut, Ernesto's music has appeared on more than 24 international compilations and has been distributed across major electronic music platforms worldwide, including Spotify, Traxsource, Beatport, Amazon Music, iTunes, DJ Tunes, HMV, and DJ Shop.
His tracks have featured on acclaimed compilations including Live the Dream Deep House Vol. 1, Deep House Bound Vol. 5, Ibiza Deep Sounds Vol. 1, Samba Vocal House Vol. 1, Tropical Beach Music Vol. 1, Berlin Afterwork House Vol. 14, Deep House Hypnotic, and Deep House Summer Feeling Vol. 2 (2016-2019).
His latest single, Uthando (feat. Shailla Matt) (2025), continues to showcase his signature deep house sound. Following this, This Love and Jozi Nights are set to release, further expanding his growing catalog of soulful electronic music. After a transformative hiatus from 2020-2023, Ernesto Blaque is focused on building immersive music experiences through curated mixtapes, live shows, and multimedia content for his global audience.
